EAST Lothian looks set to be hit by two days of thunderstorms with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning for tomorrow (Tuesday) and Wednesday.

The 'be aware' warning is scheduled from 11am until 10pm on both days.

The Met Office say that the thunderstorms “may bring some disruption”, and may bring floodwater, lightning strikes, hail and strong winds.

Residents of the county should be aware of potential flooding and building damage that the weather could cause.

The Met Office also highlight the chance of travel disruption, power cuts and difficult driving conditions.

It is the third time a weather warning for thunderstorms has been issued for East Lothian in the last week.

Heavy rain fell last Wednesday while there was flooding in parts of the county on Sunday afternoon.
