A MUSSELBURGH man has been placed under supervision after admitting assaulting his wife.
Piotr Wojcik, 33, seized the woman by the body before striking her to the head with his hand
He also pushed the woman against a wall during the altercation at an address in Edinburgh last year.
Wojcik, of Beach Lane, had previously pleaded guilty to the offence and he returned to Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday for sentencing.
Solicitor Euan Gosney said the couple had now split up for good, meaning a non-harassment order would not be necessary.
Sheriff Donald Corke told Wojcik that if he does not comply with, or breach, his 18-month supervision order then “things will go very badly for you”.
Wojcik admitted assaulting his wife at an address at Custom House Place in Edinburgh on December 4 last year.
