A NORTH Berwick man shouted and swore at police officers following an incident in the town.
Gordon Blacklaw was picked up by police on an unrelated matter but soon become unruly in the back of the police car.
Blacklaw was being taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh by the officers when he started abusing them and acting in an aggressive manner.
The 28-year-old then shouted threats of violence and began to struggle violently with them.
Blacklaw appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday and admitted the offence.
Sheriff Fiona Tait agreed to defer sentence for the preparation of reports to August 21.
Blacklaw pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing, uttering threats of violence and struggling violently with police officers, all during a journey to the hospital on October 21 last year.
