A GLASGOW restaurant has been broken into just weeks after opening.

Staff at EVOO, on Cowcaddens Road, said an iPad, cocktail ingredients and bottle of Baileys were stolen in the raid.

The team also said the culprit will have “a pretty bad gash” as blood was found at the scene in the aftermath.

The EVOO team shared details of the incident on their Facebook page on Wednesday.

The team wrote: “Hello people of Glasgow!

“Last night we were broken into at around 3am luckily not much was taken, an iPad, the ingredients for a pina colada and a bottle of baileys. But the culprit will have a pretty bad gash somewhere from climbing through the broken door he smashed through.

“It was one of a spate of break-ins that happened last night, presumed to be linked.

“There has been CCTV sent from the surrounding area and the police have taken fingerprints and samples of the blood left behind.

Police Scotland said it received a report of a break-in at the restaurant at 7.25am on Wednesday. Enquiries are ongoing, added the force.
