A MACMERRY driver has been banned from the road after she was found to be nearly three times the drink-drive limit.
Jacqueline Johnstone, of St Germains Terrace, was caught drink-driving at Gilbert Avenue in North Berwick.
Johnstone, 60, was found to have 63mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath during the incident – the legal limit is 22mg.
She appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court, where she pleaded guilty to the offence, which took place on May 27.
Sheriff Pamela Bowman banned Johnstone from driving for 12 months and fined her £150.
She was allowed to take part in a drink-driving rehabilitation scheme which could reduce her ban by a quarter.
