THE founder of a prominent Tranent charity has been named on the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
Scott Glynn, founder of the Walk With Scott Foundation, is being awarded an MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) for services to charity.
The foundation has raised more than £300,000 for local causes and organisations.
It host many fundraising events, the most prominent and popular of which is a 26-mile annual walk around the county, which this year saw more than 100 take part and raised over £10,000.
The money is then used to support groups and charities in the area.
Previous recipients of support from the foundation include East Lothian Foodbank, Our Community Kitchen Project, Hollies Day Centre and Beach Wheelchairs.
