AN INTERIM anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) has been issued at Edinburgh Sheriff Court against a Cockenzie man, banning him from "acts of physical violence".
The order issued against Scott Hardie, 37, of Winton Park, bans him from shouting, swearing and using abusive, aggressive or intimidating language or behaviour within his property and on his home street.
The terms of the interim ASBO also ban him from engaging in acts of physical violence and encouraging visitors to do the same.
In addition, Mr Hardie is also banned from making any kind of excessive noise within his home.
A further condition of the interim ASBO bans Mr Hardie from permitting or allowing two visitors to his home at any one time, except those there in the course of their employment.
An East Lothian Council spokesperson said: “Residents of East Lothian can be assured that the council, in partnership with Police Scotland, will make use of the available anti-social behaviour legislation when appropriate to address the type of behaviour reported in this case.
"Anyone in East Lothian who is affected by any form of anti-social behaviour can report it via the council’s anti-social behaviour helpline on 01875 824307.”
