NORTH Berwick and Dunbar have both been named among the five most desirable seaside towns to live in in Scotland.
Research by the Bank of Scotland to find the seaside towns with the highest average house prices placed North Berwick top of the list with an average price of £346,225, well clear of second-placed St Andrews on £316,635.
Meanwhile, placing fifth, behind the Aberdeenshire pair of Newtonhill and Stonehaven, was Dunbar, with an average house price of £205,000.
Although neither Musselburgh nor Cockenzie and Port Seton finished in the top 10, the research did show a big jump in average house prices in both, by a quarter and a third respectively.
