HADDINGTON motorbike racer Paul McClung had a lucky escape from serious injury after a major crash at the weekend.

McClung was in action at Silverstone in the British Superbike Championship and was involved in a terrifying collision with Barry Teasdale.

The impact sent McClung and his bike high into the air and, when it landed, McClung’s bike bounced several times before coming to rest, thankfully not hitting the racer in the process (see video below, courtesy of Eurosport).

Following the crash, McClung posted on his Facebook page: “Feeling a bit second-hand after that one.

“Can’t remember much at all but massive thanks to everyone who helped out.

“Time for a wee rest.”
