HOUSE prices across East Lothian are on the rise.
The selling price on average of a property in the county is 10 per cent up on last year for the January to March period, with the average price now at £239,279.
Another added benefit for sellers is the increase in speed of selling times, which is now on average 32 days – two days faster than last year.
Jamie Fraser-Davidson, business analyst as ESPC, said that “continuing uncertainty” over Brexit had deterred some buyers and there was an increasing number of properties coming to market.
But he added: “Average selling prices are continuing to increase year-on-year, indicating that buyer confidence hasn’t been impacted significantly.”
