AN OPEN-BLADED razor was found on a Tranent man who later spat on a police officer.
Robert Fyvie was caught with the blade on Logie Green Road, Edinburgh, earlier this year.
Following his arrest, the 38-year-old then assaulted a police sergeant by spitting on his head while he was being processed at St Leonard’s Police Station.
Fyvie appeared in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday where he pleaded guilty to the two charges.
Sheriff John Cook deferred sentence to next month for the preparation of social work reports.
