THE Met Office has issued another warning of possible snow and ice for East Lothian.

The yellow 'be aware' warning, covering the period between 6pm this evening (Thursday) and noon tomorrow (Friday), warns that ice and possibly snow could bring disruption to much of the UK, including East Lothian.

Current forecasts for East Lothian suggests temperatures are again set to plummet well below freezing tonight, as well as overnight on Friday.

However, at the moment the likelihood of any snow falling in East Lothian looks slim, with current forecasts suggesting the county is set to remain dry and mostly sunny, though extremely cold.

Residents are being urged to take care on untreated roads and paths, where ice may well have made them slippery.

The current cold snap is currently predicted to continue into the weekend, before temperatures are expected to pick up slightly next week into the mid single figures.
