TIME could be called on a landmark Tranent pub and restaurant.
A planning application has been lodged with East Lothian Council to turn the site of The Brig Inn, on Bridge Street, into 11 new homes.
Pub company Caledonian Heritable want to convert the existing main building into two flats and also build nine further flats to the rear.
Tranent Councillor Kenny McLeod said the proposals would “raise a few eyebrows”.
The Brig Inn also has a function hall and car parking for customers.
