A rare white squirrel has been spotted in North Berwick.
The white coat of the squirrel is caused by a mutation in the genes - a rare phenomenon in the UK.
Emily Martin, who lives on the town's Dirleton Avenue, snapped a picture of the squirrel in her garden - and her family decided to name it Porridge.
“What a beauty - but it is an easy target for predators so I hope it keeps smart," she said.
"He was playing with a grey squirrel and feeding on the seeds I'd thrown on the lawn for the small birds. It would be great for other North Berwick residents to keep an eye out for him."
