A HOUSEHOLDER had a frightening experience when a torch was shone into their home on Tuesday evening.
Police are warning members of the public to remain vigilant following the report of "suspicious activity" on Kemp's End, Tranent at about 9.30pm.
"The front door of a property was tried and persons were seen shining a torch into the property," said a police statement.
"The individuals were disturbed by the occupiers and left the area in a motor vehicle, described as dark blue in colour with a possible 54 or 56 registration plate.
Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity or observed this vehicle in the area at the time of the offence are encouraged to contact Police Scotland."
