CARRIAGEWAY resurfacing works which have closed part of a busy rural road are due to be completed by next weekend.
The B1347 links North Berwick with the A199, east of Haddington.
Repairs are currently being carried out on the section of the road from its junction with the A199 to the turning for Athelstaneford.
This part of the road will remain closed today (Friday), as well as from Monday to Friday next week. However, the 2.1-kilometre stretch of road will be open over the weekend and emergency access is maintained.
During the closure, traffic is diverted through Athelstaneford using the B1343 and then the A6137.
