AN INTERIM order banning a Dunbar man from shouting, swearing and using abusive language towards East Lothian Council employees has been issued at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
Richard Hamilton, of the town’s Fall Avenue, was given an interim anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) banning him from shouting, swearing and using aggressive, abusive or intimidating language within and near his home. The 30-year-old is also banned from behaving in such a manner towards any East Lothian Council employee.
A council spokesman said Police Scotland and the local authority’s safer communities team had been working together to prepare evidence.
He said: “On a number of occasions Mr Hamilton’s behaviour caused alarm and distress to other users and East Lothian Council employees at the Bleachingfield Centre, Dunbar.
"The behaviour exhibited by Mr Hamilton has had a serious adverse effect on residents of Fall Avenue, Dunbar, which has affected their ability to enjoy a quiet and peaceful home life.”
