EAST Lothian residents are being warned to expect icy conditions tonight (Wednesday) and into tomorrow.
The Met Office has released a yellow 'be aware' warning for ice, running from 10pm tonight to 11am tomorrow.
It is telling people to expect “icy patches developing with wintry showers also affecting some areas”, though it adds that any snow is unlikely to settle except on higher ground.
Current forecasts suggests the possibility of some sleet or snow showers affecting East Lothian late tonight, at about 10pm or 11pm.
The Met Office describes the potential of icy weather affecting East Lothian as having a 'medium' likelihood but only a 'low' impact.
Further ahead, forecasters predict East Lothian could be affected by some sleet or snow on Friday afternoon, though at the moment the impact is not expected to be significant.
