ALFIE, Leo and Isla lead the way as the most popular names for babies being born in East Lothian in 2018.
National Records of Scotland (NRS) has released the provisional figures for baby names across the country.
Jack and Olivia top the table nationally but Jack does not even make the top ten in East Lothian.
Instead, Alfie and Leo are top of the boys’ names, with Isla, followed by Olivia, leading the way for the girls.
Boys’ names and number of babies: 1. Alfie and Leo (10); 3. Harris (9); 4. George and Oliver (8); 6. Brodie, Joshua, Mason, Max and Thomas (7).
Girls’ names and number of babies: 1. Isla (10); 2. Olivia (9); 3. Freya and Lily (8); 5. Amelia and Charlotte (7); 7. Aria, Ivy and Sophie (6); 10 Eilidh, Evie, Jessica, Lucy, Poppy, Rosie, Willow and Zara (5).
