POLICE are renewing their appeal for witnesses to a crash in Haddington last Friday lunchtime to come forward.

Police and ambulance services were called to the incident on Court Street just after 1pm after a woman was struck by a car.

It is understood the woman, who was in her 30s, was injured as she crossed the street outside the Town House.

At the time a police spokesperson said: "The woman was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with minor injuries. Our enquiries are continuing."

Police are now looking to trace the driver of the vehicle.

They say he did initially stop at the scene and help the injured party; however, he did not leave his details.
