Scam warning as people are told their homes are being repossessed
SCAMMERS have been sending people in East Lothian texts warning them that their homes are about to be repossessed.
East Lothian Council has warned people to ignore the texts after one of their tenants got in touch after receiving the message.
They immediately took to social media to dispel the claims.
We have been advised that some local residents have received texts advising that their house will be repossessed because of arrears.

It is understood the text provides people with a link to a website called councilrepossesses.com.
Anyone receiving the text is advised not to click on any link.
