A MUSSELBURGH thief will be sentenced next month after he admitted breaking into a charity shop.
Christopher Storrie illegally entered the DEBRA store on North High Street on March 30 and made off with a quantity of jewellery and coins.
Storrie was said to have been acting alongside another person not yet identified.
The 37-year-old appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Thursday where he pleaded guilty to one charge of theft.
Not guilty pleas to three similar offences, all involving businesses in the town, were accepted by the Crown.
Sheriff Thomas Welsh QC deferred sentence on Storrie to December 20.
