A WOMAN was taken to hospital and a section of a busy East Lothian road was shut for more than two hours on Sunday.
Police received a call at about 3.15pm after reports of a crash on the A198 near Green Craig, between Longniddry and Aberlady.
Emergency services were called out following reports that a car had overturned but the female driver had managed to get out.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said that the woman had suffered “no serious injury” but she was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The road was closed at Lyars Road in Longniddry until about 5.30pm.
