EAST Lothian has become the first county in Scotland to launch a dedicated gift card.
The new East Lothian Gift Card is now available to buy.
More than 100 businesses of all kinds – from shops to beauty therapists to restaurants – are taking part in the scheme at no cost, with the only requirement being their business is able to take Mastercard credit card payments.
Gift cards can be obtained free online, then loaded with a chosen amount of money before they can be used in participating East Lothian businesses.
All participating businesses are listed on the gift card website and will display in their premises that the East Lothian Gift Card is accepted. The council expects more businesses to join up.
