A GLASGOW venue forced to close after the major fire at Glasgow School of Art is hosting a re-opening celebratory bash for the Garnethill community.

The free event at the CCA will include live DJs until 3am and is also aimed at long-standing supporters.

The arts venue, which includes a bar, cafe and exhibition space, re-opened last month after having been shut since a major fire destroyed Glasgow School of Art's world-famous Mackintosh building in June.

In a Facebook post the venue said: "Following the temporary closure this summer, the CCA building is now open to the public and we’re having a party for the local community, the residents of Garnethill, our long standing supporters and regular visitors.

"Please come down and celebrate with us."

The party is being held on Friday, December 7, from 7pm.
