A well-known mens retailer has kindly created a bespoke suit for a very special client - free of charge.

Slater Menswear, who operate a massive multi-storey space in Glasgow's City Centre, stepped in to create a special suit for a young amputee who will be attending an awards ceremony in a few weeks time.

Paul Johnson has been nominated for the Young Hero Award at the Young Scot Awards which are set to take place on November 30 at the SEC in Glasgow.

BAFTA-winning comedian Iain Stirling best known as the unmistakable voice of the hit reality show Love Island will be hosting the event.

And the young amputee who works for Glasgow charity Finding Your Feet will be looking sharp at the event thanks to Slaters who kitted him out with 'an absolute belter' of a suit.

In addition the kind-hearted tailors at the store generously gifted the brave amputee the three piece for free.

Glasgow Times:

Paul lost both his legs on a train track four years ago and has faced many struggles in getting to where he is now.

In an emotional Facebook post he told of how difficult it had been to return to the tracks where his legs were taken from him, but this year he finally found the strength.

He said: "I couldn't bring myself to face this place and I've been really quite low for the month surrounding it each year.

I've done it this year because I'm in a far different place mentally to where I've been. I couldn't even feel sad looking upon the track now, because I love the way things are."

Paul has been helped enormously by charity Finding Your Feet, which was started by quadruple Amputee Corinne Hutton who recently reached the summit of Kilimanjaro.

Finding Your Feet support families affected by amputation or limb difference, through a range of sporting initiatives and social inclusion projects.
