POLICE are investigating an incident at Wallyford Livingroom Church on Guy Fawkes Night.
Officers were called after reports of a window being smashed by stones thrown at the church building on Salters Road.
Alister Hadden, chairman of Wallyford Community Council, said: "This is disgraceful behaviour from whoever carried out this despicable act on a house of worship in Wallyford.
"We hope those responsible will get the justice they deserve."
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police in East Lothian are investigating following a report of vandalism in Wallyford.
“The incident happened at a church on Salters Road between around 7pm and 11pm on Monday, November 5, when a window was smashed.
“Inquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 5703 of November 5, or Crimstoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
