A MUSSELBURGH man who stole a till from a store in the town will be sentenced later this year.

Kevin Wilson broke into the Staypress business on High Street and made off with the till, a cash box and its contents.

Wilson, of North High Street, had previously admitted the theft at an earlier hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court and returned last Monday.

Sheriff John Cook deferred sentence again to December 20.

At the earlier hearing, Wilson, 31, had not guilty pleas accepted by the Crown to breaking into the Lanna Thai restaurant on Bridge Street, Musselburgh, and stealing a quantity of alcohol and charity tins.

Wilson pleaded guilty to breaking into Staypress and stealing a till and a cash box and its contents on February 18.
