A MUSSELBURGH woman has been banned from shouting, swearing and playing loud music at her home.

Maxine Cullen, 42, of Goose Green Avenue, received an interim ASBO following numerous complaints from members of the public.

Edinburgh Sheriff Court was presented with details of her alleged anti-social behaviour, including shouting, swearing and playing music at levels that caused alarm and distress to residents.

Ms Cullen is banned from shouting and swearing when at her property and permitting or encouraging visitors to do the same.

She is also banned from having more than two visitors at any time, except individuals there in the course of their employment, and from playing loud music.

An East Lothian Council spokesperson said: “East Lothian Council, with the full support of Police Scotland, will take robust enforcement action against those whose behaviour causes alarm and distress to others.

“In this case, the council acted on receipt of numerous complaints from members of the public.

"I would encourage anyone who is affected by anti-social behaviour to contact the Safer Communities Team on 01875 824307."
