TWO men have appeared in court in private charged with assault to severe injury following an alleged incident in Musselburgh last Friday.
Craig Douglas, 23, and Robert Cleland, 28, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday (Monday).
Both accused made no plea to the charge of assault to severe injury and Douglas, whose address was only given as the Musselburgh area, was remanded in custody.
Cleland, of Edinburgh, was granted bail and both men are expected to appear back in the dock at the city court later this month.
