A TWETNTY-TWO-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested following an alleged attempted murder in Haddington.
Two men were taken to hospital in Edinburgh yesterday (Wednesday) morning following an alleged disturbance on the town’s Lynn Lea Avenue.
Originally, Police Scotland told the Courier that the man arrested was 34 years old but have since confirmed he is 22 years old.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland told the Courier: “A 22-year-old man has been arrested following the attempted murder of a 22-year-old man and the serious assault of a 68-year-old man at an address on Lynn Lea Avenue, Haddington, on Wednesday.
“Both victims were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where they continue to be treated for their injuries.
“Neither is believed to be in a life-threatening condition.”
The alleged incident took place at about 7.15am and police were on the scene in Haddington for most of the morning as they carried out their investigations.
