A DUNBAR man has been found guilty of harassing a woman by following her and filming her while she was out with family members.

David Page, of Castle Street, engaged in a course of conduct over a five-year period which caused the woman fear and alarm by repeatedly watching her and following her.

He also acted in a way that showed he was taking pictures or filming her on various occasions during the period of harassment between January 1, 2012, and October 8 last year.

Page was also found guilty of breaching conditions of an anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) after he used inappropriate or abusive language towards employees of East Lothian Council during a telephone call in October last year.

Page had been handed the ASBO the previous November and had been told he was banned from shouting, swearing and uttering abusive language towards council staff.

Page stood trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last week and was found guilty of the two charges by Sheriff Alistair Noble.

He was released on bail and told he must return to the Capital court for sentencing on July 13.

Page was found guilty of engaging in a course of conduct that caused the woman fear and alarm by repeatedly watching her, following her, and taking pictures of her and her family members between January 1, 2012, and October 8 last year.

He was also convicted of breaching an ASBO imposed on him on November 1, 2016, by using inappropriate language to council staff during a phone call on October 8 last year.
