POLICE, lifeboat and coastguard teams were called out late on Tuesday evening in Dunbar in the search for a missing 16-year-old.
UK Coastguard called for the lifeboat shortly after 11.15pm to assist shore-based teams from the town and North Berwick.
The teenager had been reported as heading towards the harbour by witnesses concerned for his wellbeing.
The lifeboat crew conducted a search of the area around the harbour, then headed east to Dunbar Golf Club, before going west to Long Craigs.
There was no sign of the young man and UK Coastguard stood down the lifeboat and shore teams shortly after 1am yesterday (Wednesday).
Police were continuing their inquiries to locate the individual and were unable to give an update.
