RESIDENTS are being offered the chance to have dinner with Scottish rugby legends including inspirational Doddie Weir, who is battling motor neurone disease (MND).
A silent auction is taking place online for two tickets at the top table for ‘An Evening for Doddie Weir in East Lothian’ at the Corn Exchange in Haddington next Friday (March 23).
The winner will share a table with Lions ace Weir, who is raising money and awareness of MND in the hope of finding a cure.
Also on the table will be Scotland coach Gregor Townsend, former Scotland and Lions boss Jim Telfer and ex-Scotland skipper Gary Armstrong, as well as the evening’s master of ceremonies, Dougie Vipond.
Bids by emailing doddie eveninginel@gmail.com
Bids close at noon on Monday and the winner will be notified by email.
