Funnily enough, I have never had too many dealings with Jim Duffy despite the length of time that he has been in the Scottish game.

We never crossed paths at Celtic and although I came up against him when I was manager at Livingston, it was purely in a professional context.

And while there are precious few among us who would give Morton a fighting chance ahead of their journey to Celtic Park tomorrow afternoon, you would expect that he will look to make life as difficult as possible for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

It wasn’t too far back that Morton put Celtic out of the League Cup when Neil Lennon was in charge at Parkhead and as we all know, you can have a shock in football.

I don’t expect one tomorrow afternoon largely because I suspect that Rodgers leaves no stone unturned when he is preparing for game, regardless of the level it is at.

And given the fact that we had the midweek call off then I think he will see it as an opportunity to give some game time to the likes of Patrick Roberts and Marvin Compper ahead of next week’s game against Rangers at Ibrox.
