PINTS are being pulled in East Lothian’s first micropub next to Dunbar Railway Station.

The former station lodge has been transformed into Station Yard - a high-end pub - and was officially opened on Friday afternoon by David McGee and Gerard McPhillips.

The pub, on the town’s Station Road, has already been well received on social media and stocks a number of East Lothian-based drink producers’ products.

When the pub received an alcohol licence in the summer, Mr McPhillips had outlined his thoughts for the business.

He said: “As well as craft beers, we hope to sell wines and some spirits, mainly gins and whiskies. These would be high-end products that would not be available at the supermarkets.”

The plans were welcomed at the meeting by East Lothian Provost John McMillan.

The owners were also wished well by Dunbar Community Council.
