FILM, comedy and even a concert under the wings of Concorde are among the attractions during this year’s Saltire Festival, celebrating East Lothian as the birthplace of Scotland’s flag.

The opening concert for this year’s festival takes place under the wings of the famous supersonic airliner at the National Museum of Flight at East Fortune, as two of the biggest names in traditional music come together in a unique venue.

The festival kicks off with the St Andrews’s Day Trad Fest at the museum tomorrow (Thursday) and features award-winning folk band Breabach and Glasgow-based Barluath.

The Saltire Festival runs from Thursday until Sunday, with a wide range of events across the county celebrating the best East Lothian has to offer.
