Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road crash on the A198 near Aberlady.
The incident happened at about 4.20pm on Tuesday at the entrance to Craigielaw Golf Club.
A Honda motorcycle and a Lotus car were involved in a collision, which left the motorbike rider sustaining serious injuries.
The Scottish Ambulance Service attended but the male biker was pronounced dead at the scene.
Road policing officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their ongoing investigation to come forward.
Sergeant Neil Inglis said: "Tragically this collision has resulted in the rider of the motorcycle sustaining injuries, which he succumbed to.
"We are keen to hear from any motorists or members of the public who witnessed the incident or who have information relevant to this inquiry."

The A198 has been closed in both directions to allow investigations to take place.
