SPARKSMAN Nesta Jean John and family thank everyone for their cards, flowers, and messages of sympathy. We were humbled by the large attendance at the services and whose kind donations raised £685 for Kidney Research. Especial thanks to the Reverend Canon Paddy Allen and the Reverend Diana Hall (our Rector) who led the service, and Brian Dale for the eulogy which portrayed Nesta's spirit so well. Also, Dunbar Bowling club for the use of their premises and Helena Thomson for the catering. Thanks also to Dunbar and District Choral Society who provided a choir to perform two anthems from Handel's Messiah led by Maestro Alberto Massimo, organist, Nesta was a member and librarian for over 30 years. During her illness Nesta was cared for at home by her family and she passed away there in her own bed as she wanted. We are grateful for the support of our medical centre and the District Nurses for helping us make this possible.
