Nintendo Wii
If you are of a certain age you might remember the little pocket books (endorsed by David Bellamy if I remember correctly) encouraging you to search for different themed items in a meadow or on a farm or whatever. Well yes, this game is a Wii version of that. Children need never go outdoors again.
Don't let the slightly depressing premise get you down. This is actually a really good and quite educational kids game. You have ten environments to search and a list of items you must find to complete the stage. Yes, it's like a PC point and click game but given the Wii twist - to unearth some of the items you'll need to successfully complete a (usually pretty fun) mini game.
Multiplayer is only set up for two, which is a problem for larger families, but overall if you're a fan of this genre and want something a little different you could do a lot worse. Definitely recommended.
Four stars.
