PREPARATIONS for finals day at Murrayfield next Saturday (April 21) are well under way for both Musselburgh and Dunbar.

Both clubs are challenging for silverware at the home of Scottish rugby, with Musselburgh taking on Dunfermline in the National Shield Final and Dunbar up against Helensburgh in the decider for the National Bowl.

Both clubs warmed up for their finals with convincing wins in their final league games at the weekend, neither conceding a point in victories over Garnock and Penicuik, and now face two weeks of training to ensure they are in peak condition.

Both clubs hope to bring a small army of fans. Dunbar will be first on the field when they face Helensburgh at noon, while Musselburgh take on Dunfermline at 2pm. The National Cup Final, between Ayr and Gala, will then follow at 4pm.

Both Dunbar and Musselburgh are laying on travel for supporters.

Dunbar are putting on buses which leave Hallhill at 10am. The buses will leave Murrayfield at 4pm following the end of the Musselburgh game.

Adult tickets for all the day's action are £10, as are tickets for the bus, while children's bus and game tickets cost £5. Tickets can be bought from club president David Wilson on 07973 488248 or from Hallhill Healthy Living Centre. The club is also selling souvenir scarves which can be bought from Bobby Peters.

Meanwhile, Musselburgh fans can buy their tickets from Brian Jardine behind the bar at the club.

The club is laying on three packages for supporters. The bronze package offers tickets at £10 for adults and £5 for children, while the silver package costs £15 for adults and £10 for children and includes bus transport to Murrayfield and back.

The gold package costs £20 and also includes a champagne breakfast at Stoneyhill.
