WINGER Tom Brown has retained his place in the Edinburgh Rugby side for their Guinness Pro14 match against Zebre at Myreside tomorrow (Friday).

Brown is the most experienced campaigner in the starting XV, with only replacement hooker Ross Ford having worn the club's colours more than the once-capped Scotland wing.

The former Law Primary School pupil will make his 110th appearance for the club as they look to bounce back from defeat to Leinster last weekend.

Brown, 27, will hope to spoil a Capital return for newly-appointed Zebre head coach Michael Bradley, who was in charge of Burgh when they reached the Heineken Cup semi-finals in 2012.

Current Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill said ahead of the match: "There are a number of guys who impressed last weekend against Leinster and we hope they can continue to help the side makes positive strides.

"As a squad, we know just how important tomorrow night's fixture is, and with a win, we can put ourselves in a strong position."

There is no place in the 23-man squad for fellow county-born stars Chris Dean, Lewis Carmichael, Callum-Hunter-Hill or Ally Miller.
