EAST Lothian’s sevens season draws to a close on Saturday, as crowds flock to Musselburgh’s annual tournament at Stoneyhill.

The home side, winners at North Berwick’s event a fortnight ago, will be hoping to take advantage of a bumper crowd to win their own tournament.

There is a strong East Lothian contingent to the draw, with the hosts joined by Haddington, North Berwick and Preston Lodge.

The line-up is completed by a team from Queen Margaret University, based in the Honest Toun, invitational outfit the Bovril Boys, Lasswade, Broughton, Watsonians, Earlston, Portobello and last year’s winners the ISC Red Kites.

The 12 teams will compete for the Brunton Cup, with the first tie set to get under way at 12.30pm.

Off the field, food will be provided from a barbecue, while there will be a beer tent as well as the usual facilities inside the clubhouse.
