A NORTH Berwick rugby starlet could return to familiar surroundings, thanks to this year's pro-player draft.
Lewis Carmichael, who joined Edinburgh Rugby from Melrose in the summer, has been drafted to the Borders outfit.
That means when he is not selected by Edinburgh head coach Alan Solomons for the professional side, he will turn out for Melrose.
Fellow ex-North Berwick ace Chris Dean has been drafted to Gala, while Scotland internationalist Tom Brown, who grew up in North Berwick, is assigned to Hawick.
Meanwhile, former Scotland U20 captain Tommy Spinks could line up alongside some top internationalists at Glasgow Hawks.
Hawks, who will be coached by county ace Finlay Gillies, will have the likes of USA lock Greg Peterson, Namibian Tijuee Uanivi and Scotland caps Alex Dunbar and Sean Lamont available when they are not on duty for Glasgow Warriors.
