Six week rest for Hi-Hi

Pumpherston Juniors P v P Haddington Athletic

It was a safe bet on Friday evening that the inland location of Pumpherston would be unlikely to host a football match, and confirmation of the postponement came through before 9am on Saturday morning.

Haddington have now played only twice since the beginning of November, and not one of their scheduled fixtures in December went ahead.

To some extent this has come as a frustration to manager David Griffiths, who saw his team defeat Spartans in their last outing after a long lean run and now aims to guide his team away from the lower reaches of the South Division table.

By the time of their scheduled fixture on January 9, opposition yet to be confirmed, it will have been fully six weeks since the Hi Hi last played.
