Since clinching the Premier League title a fortnight ago and with it a place in next season"s Superleague, Musselburgh were left waiting until earlier this week before they discovered their opponents in the St Michael"s Cup semi-final scheduled for Olive Bank last night.

The last quarter-final between Bonnyrigg and Whitburn was due to take place in Midlothian on Tuesday evening, with the winners expected to play at Olive Bank 48 hours later.

Also scheduled for last night (Thursday) was the other semi-final between Penicuik Athletic and Linlithgow Rose, the latter strong favourites despite playing away from home.
