THERE were moves for some of football's top names on transfer deadline day, but county starlet Matthew Knox remains a Livingston player.
The 16-year-old, who became the club's youngest ever player when he made his debut on Boxing Day, just 14 days after his 16th birthday, had attracted interest from a number of clubs.
Rangers, Norwich City, Fulham and Manchester United, where the former Preston Lodge High School pupil spent a week on trial, were all believed to be interested.
However, a deal could not be done for the highly-rated teenager, who will remain a Livingston player.
He picked up a slight toe injury while on trial with the Red Devils two weeks ago, which prevented him playing in a bounce match with Jose Mourinho's first team.
As top stars were securing big-money moves, Knox played for Livingston's U20s last night, as they beat Airdrie 1-0.
