FORMER Musselburgh Athletic boss Stevie McLeish will work alongside a number of familiar faces at Newtongrange Star.

The ex-Burgh boss, who managed Haddington prior to taking the Olive Bank job, has confirmed his backroom staff will move from Musselburgh to their Midlothian rivals.

McLeish will work with assistant Murray Hunter, while Walter Martynuik also takes on a coaching role.

A trio of ex-Burgh stars have also made the move to New Victoria Park ahead of the new East Superleague season, with goalkeepers Murray Jackson and John Dodds joining full-back Scott Swaney and midfielder Kevin Bracks at Newtongrange.

McLeish will also work with former Hi Hi midfielders Jack Wilson and Jordan Cropley.

Two more ex-Haddington men, striker Andrew Sinclair and full-back Mikey Noble have also followed McLeish in joining Newtongrange.

And he has also confirmed Lee Currie will be the Midlothian men's club captain for the season ahead.
