SWIMMERS from throughout East Lothian were up against the very best from across the country at the Scottish National Open Swimming Championships.
The event, which took place over three days, brought swimmers to Edinburgh’s Royal Commonwealth Pool.
In total, 29 East Lothian Swim Team (ELST) swimmers qualified to take part in the meet with some excellent results.
Zara Krawiec emerged as junior champion in both the 100m freestyle and 200m backstroke.
She rounded out an excellent meet with first place in the B final of the 200m IM.
Also finishing on the podium was Conner Aspinall, who became junior champion in the 200m freestyle.
He also enjoyed further strong showings, finishing third in the B final of the 400m freestyle and fourth in the B final of the 200m IM.
There were also finals appearances for Lucy Hall, who finished third in the B final of the 400m freestyle, and Ross Anderton, finishing second in the B final of the 200m butterfly.
Jamie Ward, ELST head coach, said: “These championships are an excellent opportunity for our swimmers to test themselves against the best swimmers of different ages.
"There were strong individual performances across our team and it sets us up nicely for the remaining events in our summer schedule.”
