PRESTON Athletic are looking to make it a hat-trick of league wins for the first time this season when they travel to Vale of Leithen.

Four county sides are in action tonight (Tuesday) as the season enters the final straight.

In the top flight of the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL), Haddington Athletic and Dunbar United are both on their travels.

The Hi Hi head to a Crossgates Primrose in desperate need of points to avoid relegation while the Seasiders travel to a Glenrothes team in a similar situation.

Ormiston Primrose are also away from home as they head to Kennoway Star Hearts in the Second Division.

Match of the Day

Vale of Leithen v Preston Athletic

East of Scotland Football League First Division

Kick-off 7.30pm

AN IMPRESSIVE win over promotion-chasing Camelon moved Preston Athletic up to ninth in the First Division table.

Now, they will be hoping to climb even higher as they take on relegated Vale of Leithen.

The Borders side have lost all 22 of their league games this campaign, including a 4-2 defeat at the Pennypit.

With the correct application, Preston should be toasting a third consecutive league win.

Victory would move them into the top half of the First Division table – and still with games in hand over those around them.

Kick-off 7.30pm

VICTORY for Haddington Athletic would be enough to end Crossgates Primrose’s stay in the top flight of the EoSFL.

The Hi Hi travel to Fife looking to get back to winning ways after narrowly losing out to Jeanfield Swifts.

Their rivals are four points adrift of safety with just two games to play and know a draw will likely not be enough to keep their survival hopes alive.

The two sides met on the opening day of the season when Haddington ran out 3-1 winners.

Glenrothes v Dunbar United

East of Scotland Football League Premier Division

Kick-off 7.30pm

DUNBAR United could move into fifth spot with victory against relegation-threatened Glenrothes this evening.

The Seasiders still have three games to play before their league campaign is wrapped up.

The first of those is at Warout Stadium while Glenrothes know a home win would just about be enough to see them safe for another year.

They are only out of the relegation zone on goal difference and will be keen to avoid needing a result on the last day of the season to secure their Premier Division place.

Kennoway Star Hearts v Ormiston Primrose

East of Scotland Football League Second Division

Kick-off 7.30pm

A STUNNING 7-0 win over Easthouses Lily on Saturday ensured Ormiston Primrose’s stay in the Second Division will last a little longer at least.

The win saw the gap on Tweedmouth Rangers close to 13 points with Ormiston still able to add 18 to their total.

Kennoway Star Hearts sit 11th in the Second Division and with little to play for.

The two sides will meet again on Thursday – this time at New Recreation Park – in what should be another close contest.
